One of the greatest jazz drummers in Canada is Claude Ranger. He is the equivalent of Elvin Jones when it comes to how he plays. Many great musicians have played with Claude in the last 40 years.
Can any of you give us some recent news about Claude and his whereabouts ? I remember Claude in the sixties , on stage, delivering the most complex independant drumming for that period, with his eternal cigarette while playing.

Yeah man... It's been a long long time since anyone's heard of Ranger. Some said he moved to the West Coast around Vancouver. Don't know how true that is though...
As a side note.... If I am not mistaken, Vito Rezza took some lessons with him while a teenager...
